ALBANY, Ore. — Southwestern Oregon got 20 points from Madison Bell and the Lakers outrebounded Linn-Benton 44-28 en route to a 90-57 win in NWAC women's basketball action Thursday night.

The win improved the Lakers' record to 4-11 in the NWAC Southern Region and 9-17 overall. The Roadrunners dropped to 5-10 and 11-16 overall.

Amyr Lowe led the Roadrunners with 18 points and Madeline Oakden added 15 points. 

Linn-Benton concludes the NWAC regular season on Saturday when it visits Chemeketa CC in Salem. Game time is 2:00 p.m.


Thursday was the final home game of the regular season and LBCC recognized its sophomores and their families for their commitment and contributions to the program. The game video contains this special presentation.

21 Sabrina MacDowell – North Douglas High School: Accompanied by her Parents: Tina & Scott MacDowell. Sabrina
will receive her Associates Degree from LBCC in the spring and plans on attending Pioneer Pacific College in Eugene and
pursuing a degree in Radiologic Technology.

 #11 Kelsey Clark – Santiam High School: Accompanied by her Parents: Angie & Butch Clark. Next Fall Kelsey plans to
enter the degree partnership program at Oregon State University pursuing a degree in Engineering.

#34 Jhana Lane – North Douglas High School: Accompanied by her Parents: Sundee & Jimmy Trump AND Robin & Ben
Lane. Jhana will receive her Associates Degree from Linn-Benton in the spring and will be attending Western Oregon
University in the fall pursuing a degree in Special Education.

#4 Claire Hammond – Crane Union High School: Claire's parents are Earlyna & Steven Hammond.
Claire is currently in the degree partnership program at Oregon State University and will continue at Oregon State in the
fall pursuing her degree in Business Administration & Agricultural Business Management.

#13 Katlin Beovich-Farris – Gresham High School: Accompanied by her Mom: Michelle Brandow & Grandfather: Ron
Farris. Katlin will receive her Associates Degree from Linn-Benton in the spring. Katlin will be pursuing a degree in
Business and is currently undecided on what University she will attend in the fall.

#32 Ashlie Collins – Forest Grove High School: Accompanied by her Parents: Jennifer & Brad Collins. Ashlie will
receive her Associates Degree from Linn-Benton in the spring. Ashlie is pursuing a degree in Business and is currently
undecided on what University she will attend in the fall.

#45 Megan Ely – Vernonia High School: Accompanied by her Parents: Susan & Jeff Ely. Megan is currently in the
degree partnership program at Oregon State University and will continue at Oregon State in the fall while pursuing her
bachelor's degree in Business.

#3 Kalli Frieze – North Douglas High School: Accompanied by her Parents: Dani & Jeff Frieze. Kalli leads the
Roadrunners in rebounding this year with over 6 rebounds per contest while averaging 11 points. Kalli plans to continue
her education at Linn-Benton in the fall while entering LBCC's Nursing Program.

#2 Madeline Oakden – Clackamas High School: Accompanied by her Parents: Terri & Tim Oakden. Maddy has started
all 55 games at Linn-Benton; she has scored 747 points, handed out 143 assists, and amassed 110 steals over her two-
year career at LBCC. Maddy will receive her Associates Degree from Linn-Benton in the spring and is currently
undecided on where she will continue her playing career while pursuing her degree in Nursing.
