ALBANY, Ore. — Southwestern Oregon outscored Linn-Benton 49-27 in the second half to pull away to a 80-61 win in NWAC South Region men's basketball action Wednesday night.
The Roadrunners (8-13, 3-5 NWAC South) led 34-31 at the half, but the Lakers (15-6, 4-4) shot 66% from the floor in the second half and opened up a lead that Linn-Benton could not overcome.
Eli Lerman led the Roadrunners with 22 points, while Liam Spencer contributed 14 points and four steals. Linn-Benton managed just 42% from the floor and was outrebounded by Southwestern 42-26 for the game.
Linn-Benton next travels to Portland Saturday to begin round two of conference play.
