Roadrunners Travel East for Three Games

ALBANY, Ore. - The men's basketball team headed to Spokane, Washington for a trio of games at the Sasquatch Classic, hosted by Spokane Community College. While the team played hard throughout the weekend, they fell in all three contests.

Game 1: The Roadrunners (3-4, 0-0 NWAC South) got out to an early lead, holding a halftime advantage of 41-37 in their first game of the tournament against Treasure Valley Community College. The Chukars (3-4, 0-0 NWAC East) would come out hot in the second half, and would take the win 107-88. Braxton Long had a team-high 25 points to go along with eight assists, while Anthony Best had 15 points and nine rebounds.

Game 2: Linn-Benton would next face tournament hosts Spokane (6-2, 0-0 NWAC East) as the teams played for the second time this season. The Sasquatch took a narrow 39-36 lead into the halftime break, before outsourcing the Roadrunners in the second half to claim a 92-80 win. Kaiden Ford had 25 points while Best scored 21 in the loss.

Game 3: The Roadrunners squared off with Yakima Valley in their third and final game of the tournament and took a 42-40 lead into the halftime break. The Yaks (2-3, 0-0 NWAC East) would use a big second half to secure the win 88-79. Ford again had the hot hand, scoring 26 points and collecting three steals. Best had a double-double, scoring 15 points to go with 10 rebounds. Colin Cordle scored 15 points off the bench.

The Roadrunners will travel next to Yakima, Washington for the NWAC Crossover hosted by Yakima Valley Community College. The first game of the tournament will be on December 11 and sees Linn-Benton take on Bellevue College at 5:00PM.
