ALBANY, Ore. - Linn-Benton men's basketball opened their south region schedule with a home victory over Chemeketa Community College 69-62. The Roadrunners (7-7, 1-0 NWAC South) built a lead in the first half and maintained the advantage through the second half to claim the victory.
Gabe Townsend led the way with 26 points and six rebounds, while Kaiden Ford scored 11 points to go with three steals. Jackson Oglesby had ten points in the win. The Storm (4-10, 0-2 NWAC South) shot just under 33% from the field for the game, but were aggressive on the glass as they grabbed 20 offensive rebounds but could not take the lead in the second half.
The Roadrunners will next travel to Portland Community College on Saturday, January 10 for a 2:00PM match-up with the Panthers.
