ALBANY, Ore. - The Linn-Benton men's basketball team fell behind early and despite an improved performance in the second half dropped an 88-82 decision against Portland Community College.
The Roadrunners (9-13, 3-6 NWAC South) could not keep pace in the first half as the efficient Panthers (11-9, 4-5 NWAC South) shot 51% from the field while committing just three turnovers to take a 49-36 lead into halftime.
Linn-Benton were able to perform better offensively in the second half, but were unable to get enough stops to retake the lead. Gabe Townsend scored a game-high 25 points to go with seven rebounds, while JoJo Harrower had 23 points and nine rebounds.
The Roadrunners head to Chemeketa Community College Wednesday, February 4 to take on the Storm. That game is scheduled for a 5:30PM tip-off.
