ALBANY, Ore. - The Linn-Benton men's basketball team played their final home game of the season, falling to the seventh ranked Lakers of Southwestern Oregon Community College 83-74. Prior to the game, the Roadrunners (13-16, 7-9 NWAC South) celebrated a trio of sophomores.
Jackson Oglesby, Aidan Moore and Gabe Townsend all suited up for the final time in a Linn-Benton uniform. The hosts led 36-34 at halftime, but the Lakers (23-6, 11-5 NWAC South) got into an offensive rhythm in the second half and pulled away late from the Roadrunners.
Kai Russell had a team-high 16 points, while Kaiden Ford chipped in with 15. Moore and Townsend each hit double figure scoring, with 13 and 12 points apiece. Linn-Benton concludes their season with one of the more potent offenses in the NWAC.
The team ranked eighth in the NWAC in points per game, seventh in points scored and ninth in assists per game. Linn-Benton also finished fifth in the NWAC with just over 15 forced turnovers per game.
