VANCOUVER, Wash. - The Linn-Benton Community College women's basketball team hit the road for a contest at Clark College and were defeated 81-51. After a tight first quarter, the second quarter proved to be pivotal as the visitors were outscored 21-7 and never reclaimed the lead.
The Roadrunners (14-13, 6-9 NWAC South) were paced by the 17 points and seven rebounds of Katelynn Weaver. Hannah Berschauer was the only other player in double figures for the Roadrunners with 13 points.
The Penguins (14-14, 6-9 NWAC South) were led by Emily Peabody with 24 points. The home team held a commanding lead on the glass, out rebounding the Roadrunners 55-31.
Linn-Benton has a quick turnaround, as they head to Coos Bay, Oregon on Wednesday, February 26th, for their final regular season contest of the year against Southwestern Oregon Community College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
