ALBANY, Ore. - The Linn-Benton volleyball team defeated the Pacific University Boxer JV team in three sets to send their record to 2-0 on the opening weekend of play. The Roadrunners (2-0, 0-0 NWAC South) earned the straight sets win with scores of 25-16, 25-7, 25-20.

Annabelle Peterson led the way with nine points scored, including four aces from service. Freshman Lana Gillas and Mazie Reeser had strong showings as well. Gillas tallied eight kills on .727 hitting efficiency while Reeser had seven kills on .462.

Klaire Bitter had a team-high 16 assists while Josie Jenness chipped in with 12 assists of her own. The Roadrunners will now turn their focus to a tough Bellevue College team. Linn-Benton will host the Bulldogs Wednesday, August 27 with an early start time of 12:00PM.
