Volleyball Splits Final Two Crossover Matches

ALBANY, Ore. - The Linn-Benton volleyball team defeated the Whatcom Community College Orcas 3-0 in the morning session, before falling to the Tritons of Edmonds College 3-1 in their final match of the 2025 NWAC Crossover. Both Edmonds and Linn-Benton (9-3, 0-0 NWAC South) advanced through pool play undefeated before facing off in the final match of the day.

Day Two Recap:

The morning session featured four matches all ending in 3-0 scores. Treasure Valley defeated Centralia, Edmonds took down Lower Columbia, Linn-Benton was victorious against Whatcom and Yakima Valley beat Mt. Hood.

Those results set the stage for four more matches, starting with Mt. Hood matched up with Whatcom while Yakima Valley took on Centralia. Mt. Hood won 3-0 over Whatcom, while Centralia outlasted a tough Yakima Valley squad earning a 3-2 win.

In the final pair of games, Treasure Valley got the action started as they took on Lower Columbia. Treasure Valley came away with a 3-0 victory while the final match saw Edmonds pull away from the Roadrunners.

Linn-Benton will now move into south region action, where they will play their first three matches on the road. The region opener is set for Wednesday, September 17 as the Roadrunners head to Clackamas to take on the Cougars. That match is set to start at 6:00PM.
