Roadrunners Fall at Clackamas

OREGON CITY, Ore. - The Linn-Benton volleyball team hit the road to start south region play but were unable to come away with the win, falling to Clackamas Community College 3-1. 

The Roadrunners dropped the first set 25-15, then responded with a 25-12 second set win to even it at one set apiece. The Cougars (7-3, 1-0 NWAC South) would then take the next two sets 25-20 and 25-21 to seal the victory.

Linn-Benton (9-4, 0-1 NWAC South) were paced by 11 kills from Mazie Reeser, while Amy Pappas had nine kills of her own. Avery Axmaker had a team-high ten digs and Josie Jenness had 26 assists.

The Roadrunners next travel to Salem, Ore. to take on Chemeketa Community College on Friday, September 19. That match is slated to start at 6:00PM.
