PASCO, Wash. - The Linn-Benton volleyball team got off to a strong start but were unable to maintain the momentum as they fell to the Bellevue College Bulldogs.
The team finishes their season with yet another appearance at the final site of the NWAC Volleyball Championships, hosted this year on the campus of Columbia Basin College.
The Roadrunners (24-7, 13-3 NWAC South) won the first set 25-21, however Bellevue (31-3, 10-2 NWAC North) would narrowly win the second set 25-22 to even the match at one set apiece.
The teams would battle into the third set with Bellevue claiming a 25-23 win before pulling away late in the fourth set to claim the 3-1 victory.
Lana Gillas had a match-high 16 kills, while Mia Monaghan had 20 digs. Klaire Bitter had 26 assists as well. Linn-Benton concludes their season having won 12 of their last 14 matches.
