ALBANY, Ore. - The Linn-Benton volleyball team started their 2025 campaign in style with a three set victory over the visiting Gators of Green River Community College. The home team won in straight sets 25-16, 25-18, 25-18.
The Roadrunners (1-0, 0-0 NWAC South) received contributions from familiar faces as well as some new additions in the win. Sophomore Amy Pappas recorded seven kills with a hitting efficiency of .308 while Freshman Mazie Reeser was credited with nine kills on .368.
Freshman Avery Axmaker and Lucy Schuller racked up 14 digs and six digs respectively. Linn-Benton will face a quick turnaround as they will host Pacific University JV on Saturday, August 23. The match is scheduled for a 2:00 PM first serve.
