Linn-Benton Falls to Bellevue

ALBANY, Ore. - The visiting Bellevue Bulldogs lived up to their #3 ranking in the NWAC preseason poll, defeating Linn-Benton 3-0. The Roadrunners (2-1, 0-0 NWAC South) battled but were unable to score consistently in the three set affair.

Freshman Lana Gillas had a team-high seven kills on .778 hitting efficiency, however it was not enough to stop the Bulldogs (6-0, 0-0 NWAC North) who remained undefeated six matches into their season.

Linn-Benton will have a quick turnaround as they head east for a single match and then a four match tournament. The Roadrunners will face Blue Mountain Community College on August 28 with first serve set for 4:00PM in Pendleton.

The team will then travel to Pasco, Wash. for the Coach G Memorial Tournament held at Columbia Basin College. On Friday August 29 Linn-Benton will play at 11:00AM against host Columbia Basin and then again at 5:00PM against Tacoma. 

Saturday August 30 Linn-Benton will face Whatcom at 9:00AM and then await their final opponent based upon record at the tournament.
