ROSEBURG, Ore. - The Linn-Benton volleyball team traveled south to take on Umpqua Community College and after a difficult start rallied for a 3-1 victory. The Roadrunners (19-5, 10-2 NWAC South) lost a close first set then won three straight to claim the win.
Umpqua (4-17, 2-10 NWAC South) had a spirited start to the match, winning the first set 27-25. Linn-Benton showed their resilience and were able to bounce back with a strong 25-13 second set victory to even the match at one set apiece.
After a back and forth start to the third set, the visitors went on a run to win the set 25-14 and finished off the match with a 25-15 fourth set win to seal the match.
Linn-Benton will next host Southwestern Oregon Community College on Friday, October 31 at home with first serve scheduled for 6:00PM.
