Roadrunners Win on Home Court

ALBANY, Ore. - After opening with their first five games on the road, the Linn-Benton women's basketball team defeated Oregon Club 58-51 in their first home contest of the season.

After a back and forth first half, the team came out strong in the third quarter and built a double-digit lead heading into the fourth quarter before sealing the victory. Sadie Wendring led the way with 23 points, five rebounds and four steals. 

Anneka Steen narrowly missed another double-double, gathering 10 rebounds to go along with eight points. The Roadrunners (3-3, 0-0 NWAC South) held the visitors to just 21% shooting, including 19% from beyond the three-point line.

Linn-Benton will next hit the road for a pair of road games. They will face Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Oregon on Friday, December 5 with a scheduled start time of 4:00PM. The team will then head to Pendleton, Oregon On Saturday, December 6 for a match-up with Blue Mountain Community College. That game is scheduled for a 3:00PM tip-off.
