Linn-Benton Fall to Lakers on the Road

COOS BAY, Ore. - The Linn-Benton women's basketball team fell behind early and despite a fourth quarter rally they dropped a road contest at Southwestern Oregon Community College. The hosts built a nine point lead through the first two quarters that the Roadrunners (6-15, 3-5 NWAC South) were not able to overcome.

SWOCC (7-12, 2-6 NWAC South) got off to a hot start, scoring 25 points in the first quarter to seize control of the game and would not look back. Sadie Wendring scored 21 points while Lainie Bateman scored 20 of her own. Anneka Steen recorded a double-double with 11 points to go with 19 rebounds.

The Roadrunners will next host the Panthers of Portland Community College on Saturday, January 31. That game is scheduled for a 4:00PM start.
