EUGENE, Ore. - Linn-Benton women's basketball hit the road to take on the fifth ranked Titans of Lane Community College and despite a strong start fell 86-59. The Titans (24-4, 12-3 NWAC South) used a strong run in the second quarter to take a 44-31 halftime advantage they would maintain throughout the final two quarters.
Anneka Steen led the team with 21 points, while Sadie Wendring had 13 points and Lainie Bateman had 10. The Roadrunners (10-17, 7-7 NWAC South) struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 5-26.
Linn-Benton will next head to Oregon City to take on the Clackamas Community College on Saturday, February 21. That game is scheduled for a 4:00PM tip-off.
