OREGON CITY, Ore. - The Linn-Benton women's basketball team traveled to take on Clackamas Community College, the current number one ranked Cougars used a decisive 27-9 run in the second quarter to secure an 84-42 victory.
The Roadrunners (10-18, 7-8 NWAC South) fell behind early to the Cougars (28-0, 15-0 NWAC South) and could not climb back into the contest as the hosts maintained their undefeated record this season.
Sadie Wendring scored a team-high 13 points while Anneka Steen scored eight points to go with a game-high 14 rebounds. Clackamas was dominant on the glass, outrebounding Linn-Benton 64-36.
The Roadrunners will honor their sophomores in their final home contest Wednesday, February 25 against the Lakers of Southwestern Oregon Community College. That game is scheduled for a 7:30PM tip-off.
