Roadrunners Sprint Past Lakers in Home Finale

ALBANY, Ore. - The Linn-Benton women's basketball team started strong and led wire-to-wire in their final game of the season. The Roadrunners (11-18, 8-8 NWAC South) defeated Southwestern Oregon Community College 84-54 as they celebrated sophomore forward Isabella Loitz.

The hosts jumped out to a 24-7 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. Sadie Wendring scored a game-high 34 points while Lainie Bateman scored 19. The Roadrunners were very efficient on both ends of the floor, handing out 20 assists and committing just seven turnovers.

Linn-Benton concludes their season as one of the stronger defensive teams in the NWAC. They finished the season as the top ranked team in blocks, while being top ten in opponent field goal and three-point percentages.
