Roadrunners Topple Titans

ALBANY, Ore. - The Linn-Benton volleyball team kicked off their first of five straight home matches with a 3-0 win over the Titans of Lane Community College. The Roadrunners (14-5, 5-2 NWAC South) won with set scores of 25-17, 25-14 and 25-14.

Lana Gillas posted a match-high 10 kills with a hitting efficiency of .625 to lead the attack, while Lucy Schuller had eight kills of her own. Mia Monaghan had 10 digs and Klaire Bitter recorded 14 assists.

The Titans (8-11, 2-5 NWAC South) were able to battle early with the Roadrunners, but managed a final hitting efficiency of just 0.91 in the three sets.

The Roadrunners will next host the Penguins of Clark College on Friday, October 10 while also participating in Dig Pink from the Side-Out Foundation. Anyone attending the match is encouraged to wear pink to support the program which raises money for cancer research.
